Now hold on a minute. Let’s think about this. Gay marriage will now affect the pocketbooks of small business owners because “Now all of a sudden [they've] got someone who wasn’t a spouse before, that [they] had no responsibility for, who is now getting claimed as a spouse that [they] now have financial responsibility for,” Michael Steele said. 

So, because someone is allowed to get married you’re going to blame them for causing small businesses to fail?  That makes no sense at all.  It’s almost like saying all marriage is bad because they cost employers money.  Well if that is the case why don’t employers start only hiring Eunuchs or social shut-ins that shy away from human touch. That right there just might solve this whole economic crisis that we are in, or take away all civil liberties this country is founded on.

Or perhaps, Mr. Steele you should look at The Bill of Rights which your party seems so apt to scream the liberals and President Obama are trying to take away from you, when in fact you are your party are as guilty as trying to manipulate.

Take for example the First Amendment:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Michael Steele is a well known Catholic, not everyone else in this world is Catholic, not everyone else in this world tries to push their religious beliefs on other people by denying them the right of personal choice.

I wonder how Mr. Steele would feel if a ban went up on Catholics who had more then two children per family? Or if a United States Senator said how ridiculous it was that employers had to pay for all those extra kids because Catholics didn’t believe in birth control.

Makes you wonder if the Republican’s only feel like protecting the civil rights of people who believe the same things they do.
